Who are digitization vouchers for?

The operation “Support for SMEs in the area of digitization – Vouchers for digitization” is addressed to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland.

The total amount earmarked for co-financing the projects is PLN 110 million. Grants are aimed at increasing the use of digital technologies in Polish enterprises. In the context of the ongoing epidemic, this will allow them to function efficiently even during subsequent restrictions on movement, called lockdown.

What is the purpose of Digital Vouchers?

The aim of the “Vouchers for digitization” competition is to change the functioning and implementation of processes in the conditions of an epidemic, in particular the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is also to strengthen resilience in the event of subsequent epidemic-related crises.

What can a company receive as a part of a digitization voucher?

On the basis of a successfully submitted application to the program, funding for digitization can be obtained in the following scope:

Purchase of programming services and / or purchase of ready-made software, including the license (excluding standard office or accounting software) in order to develop or introduce a digitization solution – an obligatory component of the project.

Purchase of fixed assets, including machinery and equipment, computer equipment or equipment related to the transmission or storage of data, low-cost assets, and / or purchase of consulting services (including industry, technology, business, legal) and / or purchase of training services to implement the digitization – an optional component of the project.

How will applications be assessed?

The purpose of the voucher is to change the processes in the organization after the implementation of digital technologies and it is entrepreneurs who must demonstrate in the application that thanks to the introduction and use of digital technologies, there will be a change in the way of operation, organization processes related to production, services, organization or additionally change of the company’s products.

As a part of the assessment of the criteria, it is examined whether the project is consistent with the scope and purpose of the activity, and the goals set for implementation are justified and rational.

The aim of the action is to foster the creation of conditions for the effective functioning of SMEs in the event of an epidemic of infectious diseases in humans, in particular the COVID-19 pandemic, and after its end. As part of the assessment, the criterion is examined whether the project involves the introduction by SMEs of a new or significantly improved process in the enterprise, through the use of digital technologies.

The project may additionally consist in the implementation of a product innovation, such as a new or significantly improved product introduced to the market, related to the implemented innovation of the process.

A digitization voucher, thanks to the introduction and use of digital technologies in the enterprise, should cause a change in the way of operation, enterprise processes related to production, services, organization or additionally change the products of the enterprise.

An example of a solution to mitigate the effects of COVID-19

Purchase of licenses and services related to the launch of the BOOKINGPLACE system in the company – flexible software for managing resource reservations at the company’s disposal.

Work space reservation – the application collects data concerning people, who worked on the company’s premises on a given day. Helpful in identifying users who could contact with person infected COVID-19 in an organization.

Managing the calendar of meetings with clients – thanks to the application, the person concerned will arrange a meeting with the employee on a specific date. Your company will be able to limit the number of people staying in one space.

Purchase of licenses and services related to the launch of the SignThis system in the company – improving the flow of both: administrative and project documentation, and ensuring a chronological record of the process of accepting files, notes, and findings. SIGNTHIS is an intuitive document approval tool that can be used in any organization and industry.

Key functionalities of the SignThis tool:

  • sending documents for signature,
  • remote signing,
  • collecting data for the purpose of accepting invoices.

The estimated value of the purchase of licenses and services related to the BOOKINGPLACE and SIGNTHIS systems for an SME is approx. PLN 75,000. Assuming that the company’s application will receive the maximum funding of 85%, the actual cost of the project covering both systems is only PLN 11,250 for the company.

Important dates

The call for proposals under the competition “Supporting SMEs in the area of digitization – Vouchers for digitization” announced on September 6, will start on September 20 and will last until October 20, 2021.
