PROLIB at library conferences in 2025 – summary
The year 2025 was marked by PROLIB’s presence at key industry events. We participated in seven conferences and forums, which provided a space for discussions about the future of libraries, technological trends and the everyday challenges faced by librarians. PROLIB’s participation in library conferences included lectures, presentations of solutions and consultations with participants, and each meeting provided a better understanding of the needs of institutions using library systems.
The 9th National Forum of Pedagogical Libraries in Krakow was devoted, among other things, to the role of libraries in promoting reading among teachers. PROLIB presented solutions supporting the work of pedagogical libraries – from systemic teaching support to modern methods of resource sharing.
During the 5th Forum of Good Practices in Wrocław, organised by the University of Economics, PROLIB presented a wide range of functions supporting reader service. Participants had the opportunity to learn about modern forms of self-service, e-services and integration with other university systems.
Krakow also hosted the 16th Conference of Music Librarians, which focused on the role of music and digital resources in libraries. PROLIB presented the possibilities of managing e-music documents, ensuring their availability and organising collections in a manner consistent with the requirements of specialist users.
Another important event was the conference ‘Modern Library Systems and Technologies in Medical Sciences’ in Warsaw. PROLIB presented solutions that meet the needs of medical libraries, including knowledge management, access to specialist databases and integrated resource management in scientific environments.
During the Krakow conference ‘Library Automation – Between Knowledge and Algorithms’, organised by the Polish Librarians’ Association, PROLIB presented its approach to the automation of library processes – from everyday user service to strategic information management and system integration.
In October, PROLIB also took part in two regional events. In Wrocław, during the SCM – Library as a Place of Community meeting, discussions were held on the role of libraries as spaces for local integration.
A day later, in Kalisz, during the Wielkopolska Librarians’ Forum, the directions of library development in the region were discussed.
Each of these conferences was a good opportunity to exchange experiences and confirm that technology must realistically support the work of libraries, regardless of their type or size.
If you would like to discuss how the PROLIB system can support your library, please contact our representative. We will be happy to answer your questions and show you the options tailored to your needs.
