I National Scientific Conference WIAD 19 “Designing for Diversity”
The issue of accessibility at the National Scientific Conference WIAD 2019 “Designing for Diversity” in the light of WCAG.2 requirements which are met by PROLIB INTEGRO
On 23.02.2019, representatives of PROLIB team from Sygnity Business Solutions took part in I National Scientific Conference WIAD 19 “Designing for Diversity” as a part of World Information Architecture Day.

The lecturers talked about subjects connected with designing, paying special attention to accessibility. Designing for diversity assumes the knowledge of a context and needs of specific groups of users, e.g. the blind, children, the deaf, people with temporarily limited access (e.g. a driver, a mother in a kitchen holding her child etc.). The common expression appearing during presentations was WCAG 2.0. The standard, which includes regulations concerning creating accessible Internet services was implemented in our INTEGRO catalog.
Designing for diversity was also our goal while building a metasearch engine PROLIB INTEGRO, hence we are even prouder that we can confirm a positive result of an audit of WCAG 2.0 requirements on AA level in PROLIB INTEGRO.
Web Content Accessibility guideline (WCAG 2.0) requirements on AA level are described in the attachment No, 4 to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 12 April 2012 on National Interoperability Frameworks, minimal requirements of public registers and information exchange in electronic format as well as minimum requirements for computerized system (Dz.U. /J.of L./ 2012 item 526), which includes all the thematic blocks of WCAG requirements, i.e.: colors, forms, graphics and pictures, navigation, presentation, standards, scripts, structure and tables.

“Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 covers a wide range of recommendations for making Web content more accessible. Following these guidelines will make content accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity and combinations of these. Following these guidelines will also often make your Web content more usable to users in general.”
