Leroy Merlin Polska in Oracle Cloud

Sygnity Business Solutions – local integrator
Production launch: 13. 01. 2020
Purpose: implementation of the Oracle Cloud system in the field of Finance / Procurement, at Leroy Merlin Polska.

The project is centrally implemented by the Adeo Group team. Within Leroy Merlin Polska a team of experts was appointed as leaders of particular areas. Sygnity Business Solutions was engaged as a local integrator experienced in the implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP solutions.

The scope of implementation included:

  • Implementation of financial and purchasing modules.
  • Integration with external systems – integration was the biggest challenge and included in its scope both global systems of the Group and local systems. Integration of Oracle Cloud ERP with local systems was the responsibility of Leroy Merlin Polska with significant support of the Sygnity Business Solution team

Course of implementation:

Due to the complexity of the solution architecture and the number of interfaces with external systems, it was decided to launch the system in two phases:

  • Phase I – launch of the General Ledger module, which was integrated with the existing Oracle E-Business Suite system.
  • Phase II – launch of the remaining financial modules: Payables, Cash Management, Receivables, Fixed Assets, and purchasing modules: Selfservice Procurement, Purchasing.

The goal: to move away from the Big Bang concept and thus separate the risks associated with data reconciliation and validation of data exchange flows with external systems.

The role of the SBS team:

  • Introduction of Oracle Cloud ERP solutions and sharing experience with Leroy Merlin Poland (LMPL) Experts.
  • Together with LMPL, ensuring the compatibility of solutions proposed by the Adeo Group team with the business needs of Leroy Merlin Polska, with particular emphasis on Polish legislation and the specificity of locally used systems.
  • Support LMPL in detailing business processes, developing migration tools, supporting UAT testing, supporting local integration, and developing a wide range of reports for use across the LMPL organization.
